“Writing Chinese Translation History: The Fifth Young Researchers' Conference” organized by the Research Centre for Translation, Institute of Chinese Studies, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, will be held in December this year. We have received a total of 129 abstract submissions from all over the world since the start of the first round of Call for Papers in November 2011. After careful consideration by Prof. Lawrence Wong, RCT Director, and two honorary researchers of the Centre, 49 submissions passed the first round screening and their authors have been duly notified. The authors need to submit the full paper by 31st July, in order to be eligible for the second round screening. We expect around twenty papers to be selected and accepted for presentation at the Conference in Hong Kong.
RCT wishes to take this opportunity to thank all the contributors for their entries. We also look forward to your continuous support for other academic and publication activities at RCT.

香港中文大學中國文化研究所翻譯研究中心將於2012年12月舉辦“書寫中國翻譯史：第五屆中國譯學新芽研討會”。自去年11月發出第一輪徵集通知後，回應及申請十分踴躍，在報名截止日期前，本中心共收到129份來自不同國家地區的申請。經由翻譯研究中心主任王宏志聯同兩位中心名譽研究人員慎重審查，其中49份獲通過第一輪評審，並已正式發出通知。入選的申請人須於7月31日前提交論文全文，接受第二輪評審。當中約二十人會獲得正式宣讀論文資格，獲邀來港參加研討會。
本中心十分感謝大家的努力和參與，更希望您們能繼續支持翻譯研究中心其他學術和出版活動。
