Chen Shaohua (Chan Siu Wah) 1949-
Born in China, Chen came to Hong Kong in 1982 and began to contribute to the literary supplements of Sing Tao Daily 星島日報, Sing Tao Evening Post 星島晚報, and to literary journals such as Current Literature 當代文藝. He was the editor of Hong Kong Prose Paper 香港散文報 and writes mainly fiction and essays, though the latter are often fiction-like. His latest collected works include Xiuwu zhiwai 修蕪之外 [More than pruning] (2006) and Hongwu 紅屋 (Red Villa, 2005). Chan is a member of the Hong Kong Writers Association and the Federation of Hong Kong Writers. He is an editor in Wen Wei Publishing. |
