Fang Si [real name T.S. Huang] 1924-
An eminent poet-critic in the early 1950s, was born in Hunan. He moved to Taiwan after receiving his university education in Shanghai. An important member of the Modernist School, Fang was active both as a poet and as a translator of western poetry. He left for the US in 1958 and served for many years as director of libraries at Fairleigh Dickinson University, New Jersey.
