Guan Guan [Real name Kuan Yun-loong] 1929-

Born in Qingdao, Shandong province. After serving as journalist and editor at a military broadcasting station, he became a programme producer and later a part-time actor. Guan Guan started writing poetry in the late 1950s and co-founded the Mercury Poetry Society in 1971. He has published two books of poetry: Huangwu zhi lian [A face of desolation] (1972) and Guan Guan shixuan [Selected poems by Guan Guan] (1986).
