Lü Lun [real name Lee Lam Fung 李林風] 1911-1988
Lü was born in Hong Kong. His first short story was published in 1928 in the literary magazine Companion 伴侶. In his early works he depicted a Hong Kong full of colonial flavour; as his writing career developed he focused on the lower strata of society and human relationships. His works include the short story collection Yongjiu zhi ge 永久之歌 [Eternal song] (1948), the novella Lianqu erchongzou 戀曲二重奏 [Love duet], and the novel Qiongxiang 窮巷 [Poor alley] (1952).
