Lüqishi [real name Chung-hing Daphne Gosselin ³¯«ÄÉ] 1947-
Born in Hong Kong, Lüqishi graduated with a B.A. in English from the University of Hong Kong, she worked as a translator and editor for local magazines before leaving for France in 1973 to study at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux Arts. Now a professional illustrator and painter in Paris, Lu Qi Shi is known to her Chinese readers for her short stories and essays, including the collections Shi meng ¥Û¹Ú [Stone dreams] (1997) and Hudi kafeidian ³ý©³©@°Ø©± [Cafe under the pot] (1999). Her latest publication is Feishu mi¸¾ðÁ¼ [The secret of the flying tree] (2005), a book of fairy tales.
