Ouyang Jianghe 1956-

Born in Sichuan, he was sent to work in the countryside from 1975-79 during the Cultural Revolution, as part of the movement to relocate "urban educated youth" in rural areas. For the following four years he was in military service. In 1984 he was made vice-chairman of the Sichuan Young Poets Association and since 1986 has been working in the Sichuan Social Sciences Academy.
