Peng Cao [real name Feng Shu Yan 馮淑燕] 1946-

Peng Cao was born and educated in Hong Kong. She went to Paris in 1975, studying first at the Universite de la Sorbonne Nouvelle—Paris III and then at the Ecole Superieure d'Interpretes et de Traducteurs. She has written fiction, essays as well as film scripts. Her collected works include the novel Hunli 婚禮 [Wedding] (1997), the essay collection Yingtao shijie 櫻桃時節 [Cherry season] (1986), and the short story collection Chuzou de qizi 出走的妻子 [The runaway wife] (2002). She now lives in France.
