Qi Huan 675/682?-746/753?
Born in Yifeng, Dingzhou (in present-day Hebei), Qi Huan's poetic talent was already recognized while he was still in his teens. Upon gaining the jinshi degree at the age of twenty, he started on his long official career, serving both in the prefectures and at court. He died in office as Governor of Pingyang at the age of seventy-two. Two of his poems are in Quan Tang shi and two of his essays are in Quan Tang wen [Complete prose of the Tang dynasty].
