Song Qi 998-1061
Song Qi was the author of an enormous amount of fine prose in the Song dynasty. He served as a mandarin both in the provinces and at the Imperial court, and held such senior posts as Academician of the Dragon Diagram Chamber, President of the Ministry of Works, and Hanlin Academician Recipient of Edicts. He was one of the editors of the Xin Tang Shu [New history of the Tang dynasty].
