Wang Erbei [real name Wang Wanrong] 1926-

Contemporary poet born in Yanting county, Sichuan province. After studying foreign languages and journalism, she went on to work as a reporter. She began writing while still in high school and published frequently in local newspapers. In 1983, she produced a colleciton of poetry entitled Mei de huhuan [The call of beauty]. Her poetry is characterized by natural description and the ability to evoke interior emotional landscapes by means of external scenery.
