Wan Zhi [real name Chen Maiping] 1952-

Born in Changshu, Jiangsu province, Wan Zhi came to prominence through his involvement with the non-official literary magazine Jintian [Today] beginning in 1978. He is known primarily for his short-stories, which often feature a strong psychological element. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Chinese Studies, Stockholm University.
