Wu Qingyun

She is Professor of Chinese and Director of the Chinese Studies Center at California State University. Her major publications include Female Rule in Chinese and English Literary Utopias (Syracuse, 1995) and the translation (in collaboration with Thomas O. Beebee) of Bai Hua's The Remote Country of Women (Honolulu, 1994). Her areas of interest are literary translation, comparative utopian literature, and Chinese women literature.
