Xie Zhen (Hsieh Chen) 1495-1575
Ming-dynasty poet and poetry theorist. Xie wrote poetry early in his life, and later joined the literary circle headed by Li Panlong, thus becoming one of the so-called "Later Seven Masters". Despite endorsing the return to tradition espoused by the circle, Xie remained open to a range of influences and styles. His poetry is collected in the Si ming ji.
