Student Life
Charter
Organised by the Taskforce on
Students' Well-being, the United College student life charter has been
launched since last year. It aims at helping students to set up
their personal objectives of their university life and learning.
Students can sign their own charter online at
http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/studentcharter. Other than the student
life charter, the Taskforce has also produced a 5-pc set of bookmarks and
octopus card holders, which will be distributed to students at the College
Assemblies. The College would like to encourage all students to sign
this charter, and it is a recognised activity of the United College Mr
Fung Sun-kwan Whole Person Development Award Programme
http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/uc/wholeperson under the moral category. For
enquiries, please contact the Dean of Students' Office at 2609
7570.

College Orientation
Camp
The 2009-10 College Orientation Camp
organized by the Student Union was held from 26 to 29 of August
2009. The theme of the camp was ¡§Áp¦Xºt¸q¡¨, It is hoped that each of the
freshmen would write his/her own stories during the undergraduate studies
in United College. The camp also aimed at helping the freshmen
define and understand the roles of university students and adapt to
university life more easily. The 4-day camp was attended by 400
local and 60 mainland students (for the first day). The College
appreciated the effort of the Orientation Camp Organizing Committee in
preventing the spread of Human Swine Flu among participants and arranging
the outside campus activities during the camp.
