Join Prof. Anthony Smith, the Vice-Provost (Faculties) UCL, for a fireside chat where Prof. Smith will reflect on his time at UCL leading the education portfolio. Having served in UCL’s leadership team for over ten years, Prof. Smith will share his experience on driving the institution’s education strategy, including curriculum innovation, quality assurance, new teaching pedagogies, as well as career frameworks which has played a critical role in enhancing student success and supporting UCL’s development.

Professor Anthony Smith Vice-Provost (Faculties) UCL
Prof. Anthony Smith is Vice-Provost (Faculties) at one of UK’s leading universities, the University College London (UCL), where he is responsible for the alignment of UCL’s eleven faculties and UCL East with UCL’s institutional strategy. Prior to the appointment to his current role in 2021, Professor Smith served as Vice-Provost (Education and Student Affairs) for nine years, taking the strategic lead for all matters related to education and the wider student experience. Before joining UCL, he was Principal and Dean of the School of Pharmacy at the University of London. He obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy and PhD degrees from the University of Bath.
