In this seminar a model about the nature of scholarly university work the four Boyer (1990)* scholarships (Discovery, Application, Integration and Teaching) will be presented and explored. The University processes for recognition of good teaching will be examined and we will discuss strategies whereby teachers can obtain evidence about the scholarly approaches they take to teaching. The seminar may be particularly helpful for relatively new teachers who are still exploring their areas of academic focus.
