Brief write-up

Project objectives

Wu Yee Sun College encourages entrepreneurship with social responsibility. This project would feature short interviews with entrepreneurs sharing their own projects. Videos of the interviews will be used as teaching resources in the College General Education courses, and equip College students to further their entrepreneurial ideas.

The interviews also involved students’ input, so students could learn life skills during the production.

Activities, process and outcomes

  • Interview preparation: Students were invited to take part in research and interview questions setting. Through intensive interaction between the tutor and the students, students were able to look into specific social issues to be discussed in the interviews.
  • Interview: students assisted in the interview process, and were able to learn interviewing skills on set.
  • Interview video production: Students were invited for comments on the video editing.
  • Serving as teaching resources: The final videos were planned to be used in College GE courses as teaching materials in the coming academic year, hoping to inspire more students on local entrepreneurship and social issues.

Deliverables and evaluation

Through the interviews and video production, students were able to involve in the process and learn technical skills including interviewing skills and research skills. Students were able to explore local social problems and entrepreneurial ways to address the issues.

Through the videos, more students could also be benefited from the interviews as part of the teaching materials in College GE courses.

Evaluations on both the participants of the video production and the future classes will be done.

Dissemination, diffusion, impact and sharing of good practices

Through the interview and video production, it was hoped that students could be exposed to experiential learning. Students gave positive feedbacks on the production and were happy to share their products with fellow junior schoolmates.
