Abstract
Having acknowledged that the ultimate beneficiaries of IaH (Internationalization at Home) are the students, CLEAR supported the University theme of internationalization at Home through engaging in a TDLEG (16-19) project entitled ‘Supporting the development and implementation of internationalized curricula’. We successfully collected views from CUHK teachers from six faculties, collaborated intensively with two teachers to implement an internationalized curriculum under the guidelines of the 'Conceptual Framework on Internationalization of Curriculum' and organized a teacher workshop conducted on internationalized curriculum by two renowned overseas academics. Built on our experiences in the previous project and re-interpretation of IaH by scholars, CLEAR is ready to sustain the support to CUHK teachers on materializing IaH in the triennium of 2019-22.
The groundwork for promoting widely internationalization at home has been partially laid through the previous project which lasted only one and a half years. This proposed project aims at promoting teachers' understanding of what IaH and enabling strategies entail, enhancing the impact of IaH by involving more teachers in the journey of internationalizing curriculum and disseminating the good IaH practices in teaching and learning in the context of CUHK through co-developing discipline-specific courses by embedding international elements, innovative teaching methods, creative teaching and learning activities, and enhancing students' engagement in the curriculum design. After all, internationalizing learning outcomes, pedagogy and assessment are all at the heart of laH (Beelen & Jones 2015)1•

Brief write-up
Project objectives
As an extension of the TDLEG (16-19) project entitled ‘Supporting the development and implementation of internationalized curricula’, this project aims at:
- promoting CUHK teachers’ understanding of what Internationalization at Home (IaH) and what enabling strategies entail;
- enhancing the impact of IaH by involving more teachers in the journey of internationalizing curriculum;
- disseminating the good IaH practices in teaching and learning in the context of CUHK through co-developing discipline-specific courses by embedding international elements, innovative teaching methods, creative teaching and learning activities; and
- identifying the educational values of the different eLearning pedagogies as conducted at CUHK, e.g. use of micro-modules, flipped classroom, blended learning, MOOCs; and
- enhancing students’ engagement in the curriculum design.
Activities, process and outcomes
Online and face-to-face sessions were organised to disseminate good practices of Internationalization of Curriculum (IoC) and IaH. A teacher survey was conducted to gauge CUHK teachers’ understanding of IoC and their needs, expectations, common concerns, and practices in IoC. A designated webpage on IoC was enriched with more resources on IoC and IaH.
Deliverables and evaluation
The project objectives were achieved by an enhanced understanding of CUHK teachers’ views about IoC for further support, sharing of good IoC practices currently adopted at CUHK and other universities and publishing of resources and information about internationalization.
A teacher questionnaire on IoC was developed.
A webpage with enriched content on IoC was launched.
Dissemination, diffusion, impact and sharing of good practices
Good IoC practices at CUHK and overseas universities were disseminated via three sharing sessions and a designated webpage.
Impact on teaching and learning
The project has materialized the notion of IoC for CUHK teachers by providing teachers support of different kinds in IoC, hoping that teachers will buy in the idea, know what IoC entails, learn from other teachers in their IoC endeavours and try their hands at embedding internationalized elements in their courses.
