The Chinese University of Hong Kong is committed to the whole-person development of its students. Apart from formal curriculum, active and experiential learning are highly advocated to advance studentsˇ¦ generic abilities and skills as well as ethical values. To help students develop a long-term interest and commitment to serve the universities and the society, the Faculty of Science launches the "Learning by Engaging and Teaching (LET)" programme, with which the University hopes to contribute to sustainable personal growth, as well as the cultivation of citizen leaders. It is expected that participants in the programme will improve their knowledge and skills in the time management, problem solving and interpersonal communication after stages of participation. Student who joined this programme would attend various training sessions, engage in different kinds of activities and do self-reflection. Their involvement would help them to widen their repertoires of skills as learners, leaders, and teachers. All the undergraduate students of the faculty of Science are welcomed to apply this programme. Each year, a LET scholarship of HK$3,000 each would be awarded to one to two outstanding participants who demonstrate exemplary performance in the Programme.
