¡@¡@Dr Kwok received his MA in Law from the University of Cambridge, UK and his MBA from Harvard University. Currently the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited, he also holds important positions in a number of firms, including those of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, SUNeVision Holdings Limited, Chairman, SmarTone Telecommunications Holdings Limited, Director, The Kowloon Motor Bus Holdings Limited, Director, Route 3 (CPS) Company Limited, Director, Airport Freight Forwarding Centre Company Limited, and Director, USI Holdings Limited. ¡@¡@Under Dr Kwok's able leadership, SHKP was the first to introduce high technology to Hong Kong households and to pioneer the new concept of the "intelligent household". It has expanded its business into e-commerce, investing in new technology and has merged technology and business development with great success. SUNeVision, SHKP's technology arm, is listed on the Growth Enterprise Market of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. These achievements won Dr Kwok the honour of being named "One of Hong Kong's Top 10 IT Leaders" in 2000. ¡@¡@Dr Kwok is also active in community and public affairs. He has held important positions in many social organizations and has been Non-Executive Director of the Securities and Futures Commission, a Member of the Hong Kong Port Development Council, a Director of The Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong, a Member of the General Committee of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, a Member of the Advisory Council, One Country Two Systems Research Institute Limited, a Member of the President's Council on International Activities of Yale University, a Member of the Asia Advisory Board, Harvard Business School, USA, Chairman of the Management Committee, Police Children's Education Trust, and Chairman of the Management Committee, Police Education and Welfare Trust. He is also a Member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Beijing Committee. ¡@¡@Dr Kwok has made generous contributions of his time, energy and funds for the advancement of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been a Member of the Council of the University since 1994 and served as Treasurer from 1997 to 1999 and as Vice-Chairman since 1999. During this period, he chaired a number of Council committees relating to finance and development. The University is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year and Dr Kwok took up the Chairmanship of the 40th Anniversary Banquet Steering Committee. Over the years, the University has benefited tremendously from the capable leadership and staunch support of Dr. Kwok. Besides his very distinguished service on the Council, Dr. Kwok has also made magnanimous donations to support scholarships, academic activities and notably the establishment of the C.N. Yang Archive at CUHK, which is a collection of Professor Yang's papers, correspondence, manuscripts, publications and awards.
