¡@¡@The Lee Shihlun Tang established various industries on the mainland which include textiles, flour, paper and machinery. In 1948, Kowloon Textile Industry Ltd was founded at Sham Tseng and since then the manufacturing industry in Hong Kong has flourished and entered into a new era. In 1997, Kowloon Textile Industry Ltd closed down in the light of changing times and circumstances. The Lee Shihlun Tang has over the years contributed significantly to the promotion of textile industry in both Hong Kong and the mainland China and played a pivotal role in developing Hong Kong into an international hub in textile manufacturing. ¡@¡@Mr Lee Fei is also a staunch
supporter of local tertiary education. He values and treasures quality
manpower and is committed to the nurturance of the talented. Many years
ago, he served as the Chairman of the precursor of the Vocational Training
Council, in which capacity he made a valuable contribution to the development
of human resources for Hong Kong industries. From 1997 to 1998, Mr Lee
decided to make a substantial cash donation as well as the gift of one
storey of an industrial building to Shaw College. In recognition of
the magnanimous donation and remarkable contributions of the Lee Shihlun
Tang, Shaw College named its student hostel No. 1 Kuo Mou Hall.
