¡@¡@Mr Sung received his degree of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hong Kong. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and the Welding Institute in United Kingdom. He has made remarkable contributions to the engineering business and the advancement of industries in Hong Kong. Currently, he is the Chairman and Managing Director of both Unimet Investments Limited and Union Metal Works Limited. ¡@¡@Mr Sung is an ardent supporter of public services. He was a District Governor of the Rotary International in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. From 1975 to 1989, he was Member of the General Committee of The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, and has contributed tremendously to industrial and commercial development in Hong Kong. Mr Sung is Chairman and Superintendent of Pentecostal Mission in Hong Kong and Kowloon. As a devoted Christian, he established the S H Sung Special World Service Fund to finance the translation, publication and distribution of the Bible in various parts of the world. ¡@¡@Mr Sung has a deep concern
for educational developments in Hong Kong, especially for Chung Chi
College of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has been a Member
of the Board of Trustees of Chung Chi College since 1976. Under the
leadership of Mr Sung, the Pentecostal Mission in Hong Kong and Kowloon
donated HK$15 million to Chung Chi College in 2002 for the conversion
of a new hostel block with 381 hostel places. He has also generously
supported Chung Chi College's Anniversary Fund which enables the establishment
of the Innovation Award. The Fund aims to help students foster creative
and innovative thinking to meet the challenge of global competition.
