簡歷

柏倫醫生現任香港中文大學眼科及視覺科學學系助理教授。他於英國劍橋大學取得一級榮譽(基礎醫學)文學碩士學位,並在 2001年於英國牛津大學醫學院畢業。柏倫醫生其後以4 年時間取得比利時布魯塞爾天主教魯汶大學生物醫學博士學位。他曾在英國布里斯托眼科醫院完成玻璃體視網膜手術的專科培訓, 並成為英國皇家眼科醫學院院士。


研究範疇

柏倫醫生在比利時布魯塞爾神經科學研究所的博士研究是關於視神經視覺假體。該研究的主要目的是恢復因外層視網膜退化 ─ 如視網膜色素變性而失明的病人的視覺感知。

柏倫醫生也參與了視網膜電生理學,視網膜影像學及基因學等多方面研究。他的主要研究範疇為老年黃斑變性及糖尿病視網膜病變。

與此同時,柏倫醫生亦參與不同醫療儀器的研究,目前正研究新的手術設備及診斷儀器,並積極籌備及參與臨床試驗研究。
