Shaw College 20th Anniversary Logo Design Contest

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Shaw College in the coming year, a 20th Anniversary Logo Design Contest will be organized to devise a unique logo representative of the spirit of the College for use on stationery and souvenir items. All staff, students and alumni of Shaw College are welcome to participate in the contest. Cash prizes will be awarded to winners and the submission deadline is September 20, 2005. Shaw College Information Counter Extended Service Hours from August to December 2005

Second phase of the trial run for extended service hours at Shaw College Information Counter (LG1 Wen Lan Tang) has taken effect from August 1 to December 31, 2005. During the trial period, the Information Counter opens from 9:00am to 7:00pm on weekdays and 9:00am to 12:30pm on Saturday.

Security and Monitoring Systems

To further enhance campus security and management, security and monitoring systems have been installed in Wen Lan Tang, Lecture Theatre and sports facilities at Kuo Mou Hall respectively. The systems include an electronic access control system and closed circuit TV system. Trial run for the system takes effect from August 29 to September 10, 2005, please visit College homepage for more details.

Shaw College swimming gala will be held on September 22, 2005 in the University Swimming Pool, Shaw College students and staff are welcome to participate. Recruitment of Players for Vice-Chancellor's Cup 2005

The Vice-Chancellor's Cup 2005 will be held on November 20(preliminary rounds) and November 27 (final rounds) this year. Shaw College is now recruiting team members to participate in 5 sports competitions, including tennis, table-tennis, football, basketball and badminton. All Shaw members are welcome to participate. Renovation of Lower Entrance of Wen Lan Tang

To improve access to Wen Lan Tang, renovation work at the lower entrance (LG6) of Wen Lan Tang will be carried out from August to early September and staircase#1 at LG6 will be closed temporarily during the renovation. Noise and dust will be produced during the period. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Wireless LAN Coverage at Shaw College

CUHK students and staff can now access Internet by ClassNet on the College campus. Coverage of wireless LAN includes podium of Wen Lan Tang, the round-about, covered foyer of Kuo Mou Hall, Dr. Tan Siu-lin Terrace and Lecture Theatre information counter.
