'Scholarship and Perseverance'
Source of the Motto: 《The Doctrine of the Mean》, Chapter 20 - 'One must make extensive study of what is good, examine it with a critical eye, reflect upon it with care, judge it with a clear mind, and carry it out in earnest'
The college emblem is characterized by a bonsai of pine tree. Pine tree endures cold in winter, here it is likened to the indomitable spirit of perseverance and the College's mission to nurture the future generation. The emblem resembles a jade pendant with ornate carve hinting the humble and receptive attitude of a gentleman. The shape also resembles an ancient coin which reflects the profession of Dr. Wu.
