To celebrate the 45th anniversary of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a series of eight public lectures will be organized between January and June 2009. The lecture series aims at spreading knowledge through exploring interesting topics, and speakers include distinguished scholars from CUHK’s eight Faculties. Topics cover the fields of medicine, literature, architecture, business administration, science, education, engineering and law. Organized in association with the Hong Kong Public Libraries, all the eight public lectures are held at the Hong Kong Central Library.

Professor Wong Wing-shing, Professor of Information Engineering and Dean of the Graduate School, has given a lecture on May 22nd where he elaborated on the endless possibilities offered by innovation in engineering and science.
