Showcase 2: The development of an OBA assessment model for science subjects

Introduction:

This project is a showcase of good practices in OBA orientated assessment using both the norm- and criterion-referencing approaches. The assessment framework developed for this project was steered to a direction that was compatible with the framework stipulated in the Paper “Assessment of Student Learning in Taught Programme”. The strategy was very successful. It is impressive that over 120 courses from the Faculty of Science adopted this OBA assessment model. The project website, with resources for OBA assessment and examples of the OBA assessment model, is still accessible by the public for easy reference (http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/sci/OBA_AM).
