Biography of Mr. Lu Xinhua

Mr. Lu Xinhua was born in Zhejiang Province in 1951. He graduated from Hangzhou University. He assumed the position of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People¡¦s Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2006. He has been Staff member, General Office of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1974-1981), Attachˆm, Third Secretary and then Second Secretary, Permanent Mission of the PRC to the United Nations (1981-1986), Second Secretary, the Department of Personnel of Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1986-1988), Secretary, General Office of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and General Office of the State Council (1988-1998), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to the Republic of Finland (1998-2001), Ambassador, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2001-2002), Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs (2002-2003), and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs (2003-2006).
