CALL FOR PAPERS
We are pleased to announce that the 25th International Conference on Yue Dialects will be held online on December 18-19, 2021. The Conference is organized by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Chinese and co-organized by the T.T. Ng Chinese Language Research Centre of the Institute of Chinese Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. We cordially invite abstracts for submission on all aspects of linguistics of Cantonese and other Yue dialects.

Submission of Abstracts
We invite abstracts for submission on all aspects of linguistics of Cantonese and other Yue dialects. Talks will be 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion.
1) All submitted abstracts can be written in English or in Chinese and limited to one single-spaced A4 page, with 1-inch margin all around. Use font size 12 throughout.
2) Please submit TWO versions of your abstract (one with the name and the affiliation and one without) to the Organizing Committee via the online system.
3) We will accept at most one single-authored work AND one joint-authored work by an individual.
4) All abstracts will be reviewed anonymously. Only those abstracts that are accepted can be chosen for presentation.

A selected number of papers will be accepted for publication in a special volume of Current Research in Chinese Linguistics (ISSN 1726-9245) based on their merit.
Workshop on the Sentence-final Particles in Cantonese
There will be a special panel session on the sentence-final particles in Cantonese co-organized by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Chinese, T. T. Ng Chinese Language Research Centre of the Institute of Chinese Studies at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Center for Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in the form of workshop during the 25th International Conference on Yue Dialects. Submissions on the linguistics study related to the sentence-final particles in Cantonese are welcome. Talks will be 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes for discussion.
The abstract requirements and the submission procedure for this panel session are the same as other regular submissions to the Conference. Please check off the item "Workshop on Sentence-final Particles" in the online submission system if the abstract is intended to be submitted to this workshop.
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Chinese
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance for Chinese (GHMUAC), a member of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Alliance (GHMUA), was initiated and established in July 2019 by the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU), and the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at the University of Macau (UM), serving as a higher education platform which aspires to extend the efforts of the universities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area in promoting academic cooperation on Chinese and as a force for driving initiatives that unite the strength of the Chinese research and education at a higher level among universities in the area.
