seta: Sphagnum has an extremely short seta (the stalk of the capsule), connecting the sporangium to the foot.
foot: the foot is the organ of sporophyte for attachment to and nutrient absorption from the gametophyte. The sporophyte/gametophyte interface contains transfer cells which have in-growths for nutrient transport.
pseudopodium: pseudopodium is a stem of gametophyte which elongates before spore dispersal to elevate the capsule to a higher position.
