Eligibility

  1. All CUHK students are welcome.
  2. Each team has minimum 2 members but no more than 4.

6 April Deadline for submission of printed poster file for Student Expo on Design Thinking and Social Enterprisingness
14 May Student Expo on Design Thinking and Social Enterprisingness cum awards presentation (Student Expo)

Submissions and requirements

First Round

  1. Each team will submit a Concept Poster about their innovation and design on or before 18 March 2019, 11:59pm. Please send the Concept Poster in PDF format file to studentexpo@cuhk.edu.hk.
  2. The Concept Poster may be written in English or Chinese. Please use and download the template provided below. Concept posters prepared in other forms will not be accepted.
  3. Finalists will be selected and invited to join the Student Expo on Design Thinking and Social Enterprisingness cum awards presentation on 14 May 2019.
  4. A maximum amount of HK$1,000 will be made available to each finalist team for developing a prototype. A budget is required if the finalist team would like to apply for the expense reimbursement.
  5. One session of coaching for each finalist team is provided and arranged in March and April.
  6. Finalists will be notified on or after 31 March 2019.

The Final

  1. Finalists are required to present their innovation and design to the panel of judges during the Student Expo on 14 May 2019. Each finalist team will prepare a poster, their prototype(s) and a 5-minute pitch. The pitch and the poster may be in English and Chinese. 
  2. Free printed poster is offered. Size of poster is 140cm in height and 90cm in width. Softcopy of poster should be in PDF/JPEG format and less than 15MB and sent to studentexpo@cuhk.edu.hk by 6 April 2019.
  3. The awards will be announced and prizes will be presented during the Student Expo on Design Thinking and Social Enterprisngness cum awards presentation.

Remarks: Any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification.
