This is part of the machine for X Ray diffraction studies. |
In doing an experiment, we have to know the reaction progress. The
NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) Spectroscopy is our compound eyes. The
400MHz multinuclear NMR allows us to investigate the most important 11B,
31P
nuclei. |
|
|
The 300MHz NMR allows us to study the 1H and 13C
nuclei. |
The IR (Infrared) Spectroscopy also gives us information of carborane
compounds. |
|
|
Sometimes, Mass Spectrometry is also important, besides the EA (Elementary
Analysis). |

It seems the reaction progress is very smooth, however life is not
so easy, and it is not the end of story. It is still too soon to have rest! |
We have to report to our Supervisor! Oh, he is not here now. |
|
|
Then report it in the group meeting. It holds every week!! |
|
Oh, Prof asks us to repeat the reaction, but the chemical is out of
stock. No problem, go and get one from the Department store. |
