Congratulations to our SUBRA students in their presentations!

Our SUBRA students Cristy, Quinn, Ruth and Thomas presented their internship work.

Four students who stayed in the Tissue Engineering Lab during this summer under The Summer Undergraduate Biomedical Research Attachment (SUBRA) Programme, Cristy, Quinn, Ruth and Thomas presented their internship work. Congratulations to them for their outstanding work, and we hope you enjoyed your research experience here!

Cristy’s work is on Glycosaminoglycan (GAG)-based biomaterials for GAG-rich rissue engineering: Exploring the role ofo GAG in hMSCs differentiation. Quinn’s work is on Development of hierarchical auricular cell niche for auricular tissue engineering. Ruth’s work is on Engineering a programmable cell niche stimulating differentiation of human interfollicular epidermal progenitor cells toward hair-lineage. Thomas’ work is on Characterization and bioactivity verification of ECM microstructures fabricated by Multiphoton Microfabrication and Micropatterning Technology.

The poster presentation event was successfully held on Aug 22, 2025. Cristy was awarded Best Presentation - Gold Award. Thomas was awarded Judges Commendation Award. Congratulations!

The SUBRA Programme is organized by the School of Biomedical Sciences (SBS). It is an eight-week program from May to August for students to work to experience biomedical research in a practical, hands-on setting while being supervised by their research mentors.
