Since most graduating students will soon enter upon a lifetime of work, the capstone course has work as its main theme. The principal goal of the course, however, is to broaden the concept of work so as to embrace far more than the usual immediate preoccupations with job and career prospects. It thus seeks to develop a fresh new understanding of the nature of work and its many different possibilities and guises, and to encourage students to share, debate and reflect on the full range of life’s ambitions.
