Abstract 摘要

The mini lecture engages the audience in an interactive discussion of translational phenomena in the living and cultural space of Hong Kong. We will be looking at bilingual texts in public areas, representations in museums, subtitles in local movies, literary works about Hong Kong in translation and hopefully more. The mini lecture offers a taste of the fun facts and critical knowledge about translation that never fail to renew our understanding of our everyday lives in the city.

這次小型講座希望讓觀眾與講者互動討論香港生活和文化空間中的各種翻譯現象，例如公共空間中的雙語文本，博物館中的文化呈現，本地電影的中英字幕，香港文學作品的譯本等等。觀眾能一覽種種有趣的翻譯素材，領略翻譯學科的關鍵知識，對於城市的日常生活亦會有一番新的理解。
