New partnerships formed with medical schools in Germany

 

Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor of CUHK, led a 6-member delegation to Germany during October 2016 to visit Heidelberg University (HU) and Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich (LMU Munich) to explore partnerships in medicine. MOUs were signed with the respective medical Faculties to facilitate teaching and research collaborations. While in Germany, the delegation joined the HU’s International Summer School of Excellence in Gastroenterology and Oncology, lecturing on the topics of liver and metabolism, as well as precision medicine and clinical oncology. Prof. Sung also gave a keynote lecture on the occasion.

 

Accompanying Prof. Sung on this trip were Prof. Francis Chan, Dean of Medicine; Prof. Henry Chan, Director of the Office of Global Engagement, Faculty of Medicine; and other representatives from the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
