UNDERGRADUATE COURSES

The Department teaches physiology to undergraduate students of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Human Biology. These courses consist of lectures, tutorials, practicals and demonstrations aiming at providing a working knowledge of physiology and facilitating the understanding of physiological principles. Courses are arranged by organ systems: Cardiovascular, Endocrine, Gastrointestinal, Neural, Renal, Reproductive, Respiratory and General Physiology.

Small group teaching through the tutorial system encourages active involvement of students and is an important part of the medical physiology course. Integrated lectures at the end of the term and the multi-disciplinary lectures throughout the year aim at providing students with an integrated view of the physiology and an understanding of its relation to other disciplines.
