CUHK takes up convenorship of HUCOM Standing Committee on Internationalisation

HUCOM (Heads of Universities Committee) is a network of the eight UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong with the unified aim to enhance the local higher education sector. The convenorship of HUCOM is on a rotation basis and from May 2017 to April 2018, CUHK is the convenor of HUCOM, together with its task forces, working groups and committees.

The Office of Academic Links (OAL) plays an active role in supporting the University’s convenorship of HUCOM, particularly the activities of the HUCOM Standing Committee on Internationalisation (HUCOMSCI). Working together with international offices of HUCOM member universities, OAL is responsible for the organisation of the ‘Study in Hong Kong’ Pavilion, a joint effort to promote the Hong Kong higher education sector, at three major international education conferences worldwide during the year. One of such conferences, the European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference and Exhibition, was recently held in Seville, Spain during 12-15 September 2017.
