| Biography |
Dr. Mingyuan Li is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Li Ka Shing institute of Health Science, the Department of Chemical Pathology, Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Hunan Normal University, China and Xiamen University, China, respectively. She completed her PhD study and postdoctoral training in HKU-Pasteur Research Pole, The University of Hong Kong.
Dr. Li’s interest focuses on the screen and identification of antiviral host targets for further therapeutic treatment replying on the platform for proteome and interactome. The overarching goal of her research is to explore the mechanisms underlying viral manipulation of host cell biology and biochemical underpinnings of host-pathogens interactions.
Dr. Li has published her original research findings in leading international journals. Her works has been supported by the National Key project on Scientific and Technological Innovation and National Natural Science Foundation of China, with which she led to uncover and characterize the broad-spectrum antiviral host targets of pathogenic RNA viruses.
