Konnichiwa! Japanese student ambassadors at CUHK

CUHK welcomed five Japanese students who are the winners of the Hong Kong Cup All Japan University Student Ambassadors English Programme 2015-16 organised by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Japan. The contest aims to encourage university students in Japan to explore the dynamism and rich diversity of Hong Kong. The winners visited Hong Kong during 24 March-3 April 2016 and five CUHK students served as buddies to facilitate their cultural exchange in Hong Kong.

Ms. Emily Chun, who was one of the buddies, shared that the experience was incredible. ‘We promoted CUHK’s hospitality by showcasing a glimpse of studying in Hong Kong and various exciting facets of local life to the Japanese students. As we met almost every day, my Japanese proficiency has improved a lot which helps me better prepare for my upcoming exchange at Doshisha University in Japan this September. I am grateful for the strong friendship we have built and will remember every laughter we shared.’
