Bidding farewell to IASP Students of 2016-17
About a hundred incoming exchange students gathered on 22 April 2016 to celebrate the end of the semester with sumptuous food, drinks and non-stop selfies. The two student MCs, Mr. Khristopher McGill from the University of South Carolina and Mr. Alexander Chew of the University of Pittsburgh shared that the exchange experience at CUHK was eye-opening, enabling them to understand the local culture, to embrace differences and to rediscover themselves.
Ms. Jessica Gales of the University of Miami reflected that she was glad to have chosen Hong Kong, a wonderful global city, as her exchange destination. ‘The time spent in Hong Kong has exceeded my expectations in every way. I was first unsure if I would be able to adjust well to the new environment. With good bonding among exchange students and support from CUHK classmates, I had a wonderful learning experience in the University.’ Jessica believed the key to maximise one’s exchange life is to be open-minded and to try new things every day.
