Council Committees

The Election Affairs Committee proposes the establishment and amendments of election regulations, campaign guidelines, complaint mechanism and nomination forms related to the elections of Convocation, staff and student members to the Council. The Committee oversees the election matters with the assistance of the relevant units. It considers preliminary assessment of the nominees conducted by the Election Committees (ECs) for Convocation, staff and students, and confirms the number of candidates for each category to run for election based on the assessment results. It also receives and investigates complaints with the assistance of the relevant ECs if appropriate/necessary.
